The NORCAL report is always our best selling report as it provides advanced information on claims which will probably be forfeited in the near future in very popular mining areas. Usually, and this year is no exception, we see claims dating back to the 1800s which are available now for new location. Remember, not all claims which are forfeited can be re-filed on.
2019 Advanced Report for NORCAL. The NORCAL report covers all counties north of Kern, with the exception of Inyo which is included in the SOCAL report. California data updates are running late this year, likely due to the government shutdown. We're currently watching almost 1,100 mining claims pending forfeiture. For reference about 830 claims were forfeited last year in NORCAL indicating we have about a 90% probability of a claim on the list being forfeited in the near future. The information provided by our report is in advance of the general public knowing the claim may be forfeited which provides you with a significant advantage over those who don't have this report.
Caution!Even though a claim is officially forfeited it doesn't necessarily mean it is available
for new location. We provide a status on a specific date. Someone could have already filed on it. The report provides new filings relative to the geographic area only as of the date we produce the report but it still provides a good indicator of whether the claim would be available for new location.
